Jon DeRosa is one of those people whose life could easily fill a whole book. The American was 19 years old when he nearly lost the hearing in his right ear. The accompanying aural hallucinations inspired him to start his project Aarktica, with which he perfected atmospheric, mostly instrumental guitar-based compositions over the course of six albums. He also joined New York City Camper Pop ensemble Flare, recorded a country album and lend his voice to a musical. As if this wasn’t proof enough of his musical abilities, DeRosa decided to release music under his own name two years ago. The result is a mixture between Singer-Songwriter and epic Chamber Pop. Jon DeRosa turns out to be a brilliant Crooner, while cello and horns make for a big portion of pathos. If DeRosa continues like this, you will soon be able to write a whole encyclopaedia about him!
