Keychange Gender Equality Pledge

Are We There Yet?

Sessions / Live, Social Action / Basic

The Keychange Pledge was established in 2017 to encourage music festivals and organisations to reach at least 50% representation of women and gender minorities within their line-ups, staff, rosters and beyond. Since the launch of the Keychange Pledge, more than 600 music organisations around the globe have opted to sign up, and to take targeted action to create more opportunities for underrepresented genders than ever before.

Keychange Project Manager Francine Gorman will be joined by Erasmus University researcher Britt Swartjes and Keychange Pledge signatories to discuss progress towards achieving this vital target, as well as highlighting the next actions that need to be taken by the music industry, in order to progress this important movement.
