Not easy to grasp, but very easy to love, and no longer an insider tip: BOVIY is an artist with a message whose music addresses the pressing social issues of our time without becoming cheesy. Quite the opposite, in fact: In the sound of this young art-pop feminist, state-of-the-art production values collide with multi-faceted arrangements that lie somewhere between rock, indietronica, and experimental synthesisers and that bear witness to a self-confident artist. It is therefore completely understandable that VOGUE Germany named her one of the country’s most promising newcomers on the occasion of the release of her EP, ‘The Right Way Up’, in 2023. Anyone who also goes on tour as a supporting act with global stars such as James Morrison or Jessie Ware can rightly claim to be among the cream of the crop in the local music scene, even beyond the praise of the feature pages. With her new single, ‘Kidz’ (2025), she builds on her signature sound and the successes of the past.
