Della
Raw and unpredictable, the music shifts between soulful alt-rock and dreamy pop, veering more than once towards the blues: Della writes songs for broken souls, for those fatalistic evenings following a long-overdue break-up. But also for that memorable encounter in a bar, when that one, unmistakeable feeling is back again. Somewhere between fragile intimacy and raw emotion, Della finds a musical language that doesn’t seek swift gratification or the next high, but instead sees authentic songwriting as the result of thought processes that are as painful as they are hopeful. This comes across especially well live. With her incredible voice – somewhere between Amy Winehouse and Dolores O’Riordan – Della makes the air shimmer, while her band provides the tonal backdrop for songs like “Impending Doom” or “How Do I?” (2025) via synths, drums and pedals. With her new single “Waste” (2026) plus more material, she’ll be coming to us for the first time in September, and we just know that many people will have a hard time believing their eyes and ears. A genuine exceptional talent in the making.
