DeVere

After their first sold-out gigs three years ago, it was already clear that DeVere had got off to the kind of start that promised great things. With their tight musicianship and often rough-and-ready rock style that recalls the early Danzig, the four Londoners show that the smallest venues can rapidly provide the setting for truly memorable concert experiences. Comparisons with much-lauded legends of classic hard rock are no coincidence: singer Sam Cassidy cuts a figure reminiscent of Glenn Danzig while boasting the vocal range of Brian Johnson, while the riffs and drumming would easily blow even a Rick Rubin at the peak of his powers away. Although DeVere are still something of an insider tip in the world of contemporary hard rock, they've treated their fans to two proper bangers in recent years – “Again” (2023) and “Surrender” (2024). And they've earned a reputation as “the loudest band in town” on London's incredibly diverse rock scene. Anyone watching the videos of the four of them can get a rough idea of what goes on at their gigs. Not convinced yet? Well, then we’ve definitely got a date in Hamburg.
