Boasting a voice like an experienced songwriter with years of honing their craft behind them, Finn Forster stepped onto the international music scene during the pandemic with “Lockdown B-Sides” (2020). British radio stations were swiftly on to him, playing songs like “There’s Still Room For You” and heaping praise on them. Rightly so, as it turns out. Forster’s music is influenced by Irish folk, by Paolo Nuttini and Kelly Jones, but also by Caleb Followill and the Shea Family Band project, the latter of which includes his mum. The young Finn made the decision

to become a musician quite easily, naturally getting plenty of active encouragement in the process. This year’s EP “Embers” (2025) impressively shows that his early training and support were spot on. Indie pop and blues, Americana and country rock underpin Forster’s songwriting, which he nonetheless steers successfully in his own direction and keeps developing while drawing on his own life experiences. Experiencing him live is something special
