Hand of Juno
Club-style energy and metal catharsis in an apocalyptic sound design: Hand Of Juno combine the best of both worlds, forging a style that only a very few are likely to have on their bingo card this year. The Venice-based quartet have spent recent years shaking up Italy’s well-established music scene with tracks like “Right Now” and “Destroy The Line” (2023), putting anyone who still clings to a purist sound at any cost firmly in their place. On their debut album “Psychotic Banana” (2024), Hand Of Juno take a new direction: industrial metal and massive, heavy grooves blend together with techno influences and beats that encourage equal amounts of headbanging and dancing. Just how well this works is demonstrated by the numerous remixes of their tracks, such as the Franksorrow mix of “Hug My Death” - or, more recently, “Right Now (Faster Remix)” (2025), where the band finally breaks down the barrier between metal and gothic techno. So for their Reeperbahn debut this year, the advice is: don’t wrap up too warmly.
It’s definitely going to be hot.
