His mother was an opera singer, his father a music fanatic. It is therefore hardly surprising that Jude York showed great creative ambition at a young age. The Australian singer–songwriter was born with a lot of talent and in a musical upbringing in which dedication to art always played a major role. What he has made of this is being watched with wide eyes by the international music press. Tens of millions of streams on relevant platforms, sold-out shows in the UK and Down Under, highly acclaimed concerts at SXSW Sydney and the Mighty Hoopla Festival in London, and the prestigious Queensland Music Award for ‘Best New Artist’: York is recognised as one of Australia’s biggest up-and-coming talents thanks to a powerfully versatile voice and that irresistible mix of driving house beats, electro-pop, and brilliant production values.
