Kkoki
Over the years, Kkoki has submerged herself in non-stop pop-cultural influences and media, soaking it all up and weaving it into her creative process. What began pretty casually as a hobby fast became an all-consuming passion: films and TV series, pop music and indie, the traditional and the modern all blend together in the young Korean artist’s creative process to form a fusion of inspiration. From this, she creates singles like ‘HR’ or ‘Suddenly’ (2025), which mix indietronica and alt-pop, new rave and electroclash, and are written by her in true DIY style before being recorded and mixed with producer Cyril Oberli. Somewhere between bedroom jam and professional home studio. The results sound both nostalgic and contemporary in equal measure, undeniably personal and always unexpected. Despite already having a loyal fanbase on major streaming platforms, Kkoki is still largely unknown in this part of the world. Which will likely change quickly this year after she debuts here in Hamburg. Definitely one to watch.
