naya mö
A strange familiarity sets in when you first hear the notes of a song by Naya Fellonneau. It’s as if the simple melodies and understated arrangements evoke a memory that is not your own - warm, intimate and also slightly painful. With ‘Before The Darkness Comes Again’ (2024) and ‘Lost Minds’ (2024) last year, Naya offered a taste of her artistic vision, one she has consistently been following ever since: velvety bedroom pop with shoegaze guitars, a stripped-down approach , a melodic twist, a delicate variation in vocals or instrumentation that gets your eyes welling up. Under the stage alias naya mö, the French singer-songwriter favours the nuances, the subtle and the inconspicuous. She could hardly have named her debut EP ‘Dealing With Ghosts’ (2025) better, the cover showing a blurred image of her at the edge of a forest, staring at her shoes and strumming an old electric guitar. Infused with the spirits of shoegazing, her songs provide comfort and reassurance on the darkest of days, while also offering hope. A rare musical quality that she’ll be bringing to our stage live.
