Pentastone

They’ve been around for ten years now, and yet Pentastone still enjoy the status of a real hidden gem on the German metalcore scene. However, the five-piece group from Darmstadt have already made a strong impression on their debut album, “Stuck In The Sky” (2021), with their multi-layered songwriting, which blends brutal walls of riffs and thunderous drums in perfect harmony with the passionate vocals of singer Luisa Knauß. Produced by Tim Eiermann at Audiodrive Studio (Liquido, Deine Jugend), the band’s sound is a treat for anyone reluctant to choose between the mid-tempo melodies of alternative metal and the crashing breakdowns of metalcore. Pentastone bring both elements into harmony and cover a wide range of thematic topics ranging from the personal to the social, which is also reflected in their epic arrangements and sing-along hooks. Last year, following a lengthy hiatus, they released their second EP, “Make You Mine” (2025), on which they incorporate new influences and take their technical prowess to the next level. The perfect time for their Reeperbahn debut has therefore arrived.
