Seers Of Light

With their blend of melodic sensitivity and hard-hitting instrumentation, Seers Of Light have crafted a highly atmospheric metal style that defies straightforward categorisation. The six-piece group from Budapest are still quite early on in what will hopefully be a long career, yet they play with such skill and polish you could think their twentieth anniversary might be just around the corner. Anyone listening to the tracks on last year’s live EP “Seers Of Live” (2025) soon realises that this band are up there with the best when it comes to songwriting and dramatic flair. Between heavy riffs and elegiac vocals, they create stunning moments of contemporary progressive metal that bring to mind legends such as Opeth or Pain of Salvation, or even Doro and Tarja Turunen. That said, Seers of Light are already establishing a true signature sound, which especially comes into its own in all its splendour on stage. Anyone up for feeling the energy of these Bulgarians first-hand now has the perfect chance.
