Still Talk
No sooner had their debut EP, “A Short Collection Of Songs About How Easily I'm Distracted” (2022), been released than Still Talk shot to the top of the charts on every radio station in Germany – and then immediately set off on a tour of the country. Wow. Music press and publications such as Visions and Diffus praise not only the infectious sound – a blend of early 2000s emo-pop, skate punk, and indie rock – but also the deeply personal and relatable lyrics of singer Tanja Kührer. The songs tackle sexism in the music scene and powerlessness in the face of conservative structures, but they also explore questions of identity and the uncertainty of growing up in a fractured society. Albums such as “St. Banger” (2023) – released on the Cologne-based indie label hithome – and “Year Of The Cat” (2025) – which came out just last year – combine energetic anthems with vulnerable lyrics and establish Still Talk as one of the country’s most accomplished newcomer bands. With big, emotional moments, tight interplay, and fresh material, they are finally playing their long-overdue Reeperbahn debut this year.
Admission to this event is included with a Reeperbahn Festival Conference ticket, Reeperbahn Festival Ticket or a Spotlight On: Heavy Reeperbahn ticket.
