Thomas Enhco

While others went to kindergarten and primary school, Thomas Enhco went on tour with his Little Jazz Band in the greater Paris area instead. Born into a musical family with a conductor for a father and a soprano for a mother, the pianist and composer absorbed all kinds of musical influences at an early age and cultivated his fascination for jazz of all kinds. At the age of 18, he released his first album, ‘Esquisse’ (2006), before going on to win prizes at various talent competitions in the 2010s – from the Django d’Or and the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition to the Grand Prix SACEM du Jazz 2020. The list of jazz venues and philharmonic halls in which Thomas Enhco has played in recent years knows no end. With extraordinary virtuosity but also an unerring ear for understatement and the ability to realise grandiose arrangements of film scores just as aptly as restrained jazz numbers, he has become an exceptional talent in European art music.
