AI promises to streamline workflows and solve bottlenecks – but what does that mean in the day-to-day of the live music business? Based on interviews with industry professionals and an analysis of current tools in Popakademie Baden-Württemberg’s research and praxis lab SMIX.LAB, this keynote explores where AI might offer real support in areas like planning, data handling, and automation – and where its promises meet the constraints of practice. It offers a nuanced view on innovation, tech expectations, and the realities in a business built on improvisation, networks, and trust. After the keynote, we’ll open the floor for your questions.
