Kaddy Dahaba | Was hat es mit dem Altern auf sich?

Sometimes, the answers to questions that seem to have been settled long ago are the most fascinating, for it is here that we determine what we can perceive as truth – and how our own perception differs from that of others. It is precisely these thought experiments that form the starting point for the work of Kaddy Dahaba, an artist and student at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts. Her fascination with immersive and magical worlds convinced her to create one herself – a rather unexpected one: the attic. It’s a nested space in the truest sense of the word, for every cardboard box found there harbours its own space for thought. Here, old and ageing things are hidden away – along with the possibility of opening every box. For the festival, Dahaba will bring a ceramic sculpture that explores the theme of ageing. What will it be about – becoming or passing away? There is only one way to find out…
