Körperfunkkollektiv | Wohlstandsparadox
Germany is one of the countries with the highest standard of living in the world. But here, too, questions arise about the distribution of money: Who gets a lot, and who gets less? What work is considered worth paying for, and what is not? And who or what defines who is considered rich or poor? The play ‘Wohlstandsparadox’ (‘Prosperity Paradox’) by the Körperfunkkollektiv (Body Radio Collective) reflects on the attributes of ‘poverty’ and ‘wealth’ in an affluent country.
The Körperfunkkollektiv is an association of independent artists who use performative formats to provoke thought. Since 2014, they have been creating participatory, auditory mediation formats for cultural institutions and events. Together with visitors, they immerse themselves in stories that are sometimes entertaining, sometimes socially critical and provocative. Participants become actors and thus form the centre of the art. Low-threshold, critical, interactive.
The thought experiment will take about 25 minutes.
