Warum fördert ihr mich nicht?

Initiative Musik is the central funding organisation for musicians, event organisers, clubs and festivals in the field of popular music and jazz in Germany. But wherever funding is awarded, there is also criticism: too much bureaucracy, too little transparency, too tight budgets. Which of these criticisms are justified, where are there misunderstandings – and how does it actually work?
 

In this session, the Initiative Musik team will answer questions from Rainer Schmidt, his guests and the audience. Together with Ina Bredehorn (Deine Cousine) and Clara Grunwald (Funkloch Festival), they will shed light on how funding is conceived today, what obstacles exist – and look to the future of this practice.
