Music / Pop / Netherlands

Take the musical ambitions of four good friends, add at least three pinches of quirky alternative rock from the 90s and mix everything with a couple of contemporary 8-bit beeps, which are in no way at odds with Banji’s DIY charm. The Dutch four-piece juggles influences by Beck and Bad Sounds with Weezer and Darwin Deez with complete ease, combines whatever suits the moment and usually hits it out the park in doing so. If they’re not busy sending non-stop chills down your spine, the amicable and shaggy-headed four are probably awakening your lust for summer, for splashing around and partying to catchy tunes like "Dogbreath" or "TalkieWalkie". So, if you’re still looking for the perfect soundtrack to a day at the lake, you might want to listen to Banji – and you might want to not miss out on their live show either.
