Braden Lam

Music / Folk, Singer-Songwriter / Canada

Presented by: Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA)

By combining deeply personal song writing with contemporary indie charm and a touch of pop appeal, Braden Lam paves his own way through the folk jungle of the 21st century. With guitar and vocals, a whole repertoire of memories and stories, Lam draws a connection to his audience whether on stage or over the headphones. It’s music made for letting go and drifting away, for painful goodbyes and hopeful new beginnings, to which the ECMA-nominated guitar bard always manages to find a new approaches from different angles of personal identification. His debut EP “Inside Four Walls” (2020) marked a first milestone in his creative work two years ago. The positive feedback by Canadian and US critics spoke for itself: Lam is on the right track and is mentioned across the country in the same breath as The Lumineers, Phoebe Bridgers or Vance Joy, and his recently released single “Don’t Let Go” celebrates love in all its shapes and colours. And that’s exactly what he’ll be doing here for us, too.
