Camel Power Club

Music / Electronic/Live, Indie / France

Even though they’re created with familiar instruments, Camel Power Club’s tracks sound like something out of a parallel universe or a different time already on the first few bars. And in 2020, a band with a name like that doesn’t have to have four or five members either. The Frenchman Léonard Bremond plays guitars, drums, piano, synthesizers and a whole slew of other instruments basically by himself, and produces everything to boot. No surprise that his EPs Sputnik (2014) and Baikonour (2017) were already dominated by a sound that seamlessly fuses cleverly looped indietronica with folk finesse and incredibly simple, yet highly catchy hooks. And it’s also no surprise that Camel Power Club has been highly sought-after by international tastemakers in the world of radio since his debut album Sputnik II: BBC Radio 1, NPR, KCRW, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and many more agree that Monsieur Bremond’s graceful sound is a door opener – not only to the music industry, but especially to the emotions of his audience.
