Fieh

Music / Funk, R'n'B/Soul / Oslo, Norway

The Norwegian soul scene has recently produced a number of bands that have made a name for themselves among lovers of the genre worldwide. Fieh is the most recent but perhaps also the most exciting discovery, melting the common view of cool sounds from the far north with a captivating mixture of neo soul, independent pop, funk and R'n'B. In 2019, the eight-piece ensemble achieved unexpected fame in Norway with their debut album "Cold Water Burning Skin", played to sold-out venues and even showed in London and at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton how unforcedly fresh and lively soul can still sound. With "In the Sun in the Rain", the project released album number two last spring and finally found the recognition of a larger audience. Highly talented young musicians inspired by their band members as well as by Erykah Badu, André 3000 or Kendrick Lamar, who at the same time enjoy support from international greats like Elton John – who’d say no to that?
