George O'Hanlon

Music / Indie, Singer-Songwriter / United Kingdom

The concept of a stage persona is something George O’Hanlon had grasped very early on. The young singer-songwriter from the South English Dorking loves losing himself in the moment of making music and giving himself up a bit in the process. Last year’s debut EP “The Storm”, which wowed friends and fellow music makers alike, clearly shows the level O’Hanlon has reached as an artist. Quite a feat, considering that during his younger years he was more the shy type who sang in the choir but stayed quite in larger groups. On stage, this changes: here, he reveals his inner world, shining through guitar and vocals, with heart and soul, transforming every song into poetry. Inspired by greats like Jeff Buckley, Thom Yorke or Johnny Cash, his ability to surrender to the music is exceptional and it defines the material on his new EP “Seagulls”. “I pour everything I have into my songs”, he recently said in an interview. Those who are willed to really listen will surely notice.
