Hannah Grae

Music / Pop / United Kingdom

Hannah Grae is one of the best examples of TikTok’s ability to push talent and make them accessible to a wider audience. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the young singer from Cardiff, South Wales has been releasing cover songs of various pop classics on the popular platform, giving each version a completely unique touch. From a moving ballad version of Aqua’s hit "Barbie Girl" to Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" and her own interpretations of current titles such as Ed Sheeran's "Happier", written from a new perspective – Grae’s voice always reaches unexpected heights and is often more intoxicating than those of the artists she was inspired by. Her gaining of notoriety outside of the TikTok community has been long overdue, actually, but is above all a sign of her extraordinary talent. At just 19 years young, here we have a woman setting out to go her own way and realise herself as an artist. She’ll be making her live debut in Germany this September. Tip: Bring tissues.
