Lime Garden

Music / Indie / Brighton, United Kingdom

Staying positive, even in these times, celebrating the bright side of life and greeting the future with open arms – Lime Garden have not only internalised this mentality for themselves, it has also permeated their music. The female four-stack from Brighton met by chance over Facebook and started making music only a few years ago, yet they’re already very firm in regard to where they want their sound to go and how to apply the DIY spirit from singles like “Pulp” or “Clockwork” into a full album format. Electronica and tangy funk, a little punk and hooks that remind of Talking Heads as much as they do of Courtney Barnett mark the optimistic picture that Lime Garden are painting of their, of all our futures. In DIY fashion, of course. Despite their pop appeal, the fourpiece manage to stay true to their own ideals and do little to appease labels or trends. A good starting point to finally start hitting the stages again, to feel the connection with culturally starved fans and to celebrate music together. “The best thing for us is that we’re actually selling out all of the venues currently”, singer and guitarist Chloe Howard said last year.
