Sinead O'Brien

Music / Indie / Ireland

No show should be comparable, her goal is to surprise, seduce and fascinate her audience each time anew. These are high standards that Sinead O'Brien aspires to, but standards which she has so far managed to fulfil on stage as well in her songs with charming originality, "There are Good Times Coming" or "Holy Country" are just two examples – both singles from this year's debut album called "Time Bend and Break the Bower". Spoken-word poetry and post punk, art rock and nocturnal pop consummate within O'Brien's music to form a whimsical creature that charts atmospheric routes through the subconscious and first takes the listener by the hand, then leaves them in a puzzled state. For it’s auditory riddles, both lyrical and musical, with which the Irish singer-songwriter plays and whose solving is left to us, the audience – expect the unexpected.
