Soft Loft
While they are an insider tip for resourceful indie connoisseurs, it wouldn't surprise anyone if they were to be the opening act for Taylor Swift next year. Soft Loft have successfully created and honed their gauzy indie pop over the last few years without any publicity stunts or PR hype. First with the EP ‘In Case You Still Get Lonely’ (2023), then with their first full-length studio album ‘The Party And The Mess’ (2024) - both showing a deeply unifying sentiment in their music. A feeling of empathy for one another, of the flawed nature of our human existence and its acceptance, which pervades the songs of the five-piece Swiss collective like a warm summer breeze. Consequently, the setting always unfolds in the listener's mind's eye with a reconciling vigour: a sepia-toned day in August, shared with loved ones and carried by a gentle melancholy that is somehow also wonderfully touching and is a key focus for singer Jorina Stamm. Beyond the trials and tribulations of our times, Soft Loft create a sound canvas for the sensitive, bringing a tear to the eyes of radio stations and tastemakers worldwide, from Seattle to Berlin, from KEXP to BBC6 to FluxFM. They’ve been doing this for a while now – and finally we’ve got them on stage with us for the first time.
