Suzanne Santo

Music Pop, Country United States of America

As the female half of successful Americana duo Honeyhoney, Suzanne Santo has toured the United States since 2006. Most recently, the band released 2015's album 3, entirely written by Santo and band mate Ben Jaffe. But then Santo struck out solo, to see her very own artistic vision come to life. Her debut Ruby Red came out two years later, netting her a reputation as one of the most promising newcomers on the United States' alternative country scene.

That may have something to do with her gift for enchanting even listeners unfamiliar with this sort of music. Appearances on Joe Rogan's podcast and Audiotree Live introduced many with no prior interest in country to an incredibly stirring genre. Over dreamy guitars and fiddle, a powerful and crystal-clear voice works its magic with beautiful melodies that convey pure emotion from start to finish. Santo's sound might just deliver the youthful boost that the country scene has been looking for.
