Together Pangea

Music Rock Los Angeles, United States of America

You don't have to listen the well-oiled garage punk of together PANGEA for long before you join the next chorus. The US West Coast remains a hotbed for heavy, groovy rock music that cares more about sounding direct and real than being easy to digest, or produced to perfection.

Sure, the sandy beaches and never-ending summer of California have had an audible influence on the four-piece's style, but more and more plastic is washing up on those beaches, and the sun is slowly frying everyone's minds. The band established this sound between euphoria and frustrating insight, between the uplifting and the run-down, on albums such as Badillac and Bulls and Roosters in the 2010s, impressing other artists such as Ty Segall and The Black Lips. It's thanks to the band's time-tested chemistry that this blend doesn't lead to musical contradictions. Every hook, every riff, and every vocal outburst by singer William Keegan is a bullseye—and a rare chance to get goosebumps even while moshing.
