Background information about the format

Since 2006, Hamburg's Reeperbahn has become the centre of the international music world for four days in September and thus the interface between artists, audience and industry representatives. The Reeperbahn Festival Conference in particular offers industry professionals an extensive programme of sessions with panels, talks, interviews and workshops, as well as numerous networking opportunities. In order to make even better use of this potential and to offer delegates the opportunity to go even deeper into certain topics in addition to the session programme, we offer 16 Mentoring Sessions.

In the Mentoring Sessions an expert on a certain topic meets up to five delegates. In 60 minutes, the participants can ask all their questions, get to know the expert and other delegates and exchange experiences and knowledge.

To view all Mentoring Sessions including their key topics, can be viewed in the programme.

The Mentoring Sessions will cover all key areas of the music industry. Topics will include Recorded Music, Publishing, Sync, Live Entertainment, and Marketing, with a special focus on forward-looking and socially relevant subjects such as transformation within the music industry, ecological and social sustainability, awareness structures, mental health, as well as Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).

Application process

All delegates can apply to participate in a Mentoring Session via this website between August 7, 2025, and September 1, 2025, and may submit three questions for the experts in advance. All applications will be carefully reviewed, and the sessions will be pre-curated. Confirmation of participation in the Mentoring Sessions  will be sent by September 15.

Please note that only delegates holding a Reeperbahn Festival Conference ticket are eligible to apply, and you may only attend a Mentoring Session for which you have received a confirmation via email.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications, we are unable to send out rejection notices. If you have not received a confirmation by September 15, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in the Mentoring Sessions this year.
