Music World Premieres
With its numerous different venues, the Reeperbahn Festival offers the perfect setting for premieres of all kinds - whether in the opulent Elbphilharmonie, the atmospheric Planetarium or the St. Michaelis (Michel) church. Again this year we have some very special world premieres in the line-up. Artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, Efterklang, Matthew Herbert and Anna Ternheim will be presenting their works for the first time to the public, or will breathe new life into familiar compositions.
Going Down Under: Country Spotlight Australia
As part of the country partnership with Australia, the Reeperbahn Festival in 2019 offers the ultimate opportunity to discover some of the country's best new artists. Over the years, Australian artists such as Angie McMahon, Amyl & The Sniffers, Dean Lewis, Parcels, RUFUS DU SOL, The Temper Trap and many more have presented themselves at the Reeperbahn Festival. In 2019, the next wave of Australian music can be seen at the annual THE AUSSIE BBQ Showcase in Molotow on Friday 20 September. Don't miss the chance to see the next big act at this year's Reeperbahn Festival!
We are looking forward to a festival of coexistence - racism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion have no place here.
See you next week!
