Keychange – Empowering women in music
In 2018, gender equality is not yet the social standard but rather a desired goal. Whether in everyday life or on the job, whether in politics or in cultural life: women are underrepresented, and this is also the case in the music business – it will not fully exploit its possibilities if it does not support female artists. To bring about changes actively, the Reeperbahn Festival 2017 has initiated Keychange in cooperation with the PRS Foundation and further international partners. Please prepare for a radical programme of Keychange Day which will reflect all the topics ranging from feminism and pop culture, diversity and discrimination – in workshops among others with Linda Perry and Tony Visconti, discussions, speeches, film performances, concerts and parties on the festival Thursday.

Work premieres at Reeperbahn Festival
The Reeperbahn Festival with its numerous venues is the ideal set for premieres of any kind – whether at the opulent Elbphilharmonie or at St. Michaelis main church (Michel).
This year, we will have three very special world premieres in the line-up again: Get Well SoonBear’s Den and David August

Bienvenue: Country focus France
In the past years, the focus country enriched Reeperbahn Festival not only personally but also with regard to musical quality and diversity. In 2018, with the Le Bureau Export we will be looking towards France. Look forward to an extremely vast programme highlighting in detail the multifaceted musical nature of France in concerts, showcases, sessions and networking events.
Here you will find an overview of all the artists from our country partner France!

Happy to see you!
