Breaking loose with the crowd!

51 new acts for the line-up

Omar Souleyman (photo) decided to play songs in the name of love as a statement against the cruelties of violence. Inspired by the Arabian Dabke, the Syrian sticks with his sound and with pumping dance songs full of fluttering synthie melodies, far from comfy world music, he transforms the smallest shed into a boiling club.
When the club is on fire, Zugezogen Maskulin were probably around. The two Berliner's of choice Testo und grim104 tell their everyday observations with razorsharp humor and impress feature writers as well as fans of rap. When the synergies of Zugezogen Maskulin unload on live shows the thrill breaks loose with the crowd.
Without a doubt the famous musician-couple Amadou & Mariam are among the biggest stars ever to play at the Reeperbahn Festival. Since the 80s the two blind musicians combine traditional Mali melodies and rhythms with Western rock music and percussion instruments to create a colorful shimmering sound.
The following band is listening to mother nature: Sólstafir from Reykjavik let themselves get inspired by bubbling geysers and massive glaciers. The metal design of the four-member band not simply excited people at Wacken Open Air but also sold out venues from Salzburg to Santiago de Chile. Sólstafir originate indeed from Iceland, but their home are all stages of this world.

Behind the name Fink is hiding the singer and guitar player Fin Greenall from Brighton. He stands for a rooty almost archaic sound of blues. "Most important are three chords and integrity" is his device since years and it’s still working today.
47SOUL have just initiated a new genre with their music: they name their sound Shamstep in which Arabian Dabke music, electro productions and anglo-arabian lyrics converge.
The four musicians from Jordan focus on partying as much as freedom and their shows usually end in ecstatic dances and energetic trance – on stage just as in the audience.
Only 19 years young but heavy with a million clicks: DARDAN arrived in the rap biz. Backed by brachial trap beats, he tells us street anecdotes from his hood which made him be heard as one of the most innovative voices of the German hip-hop scene. DARDAN's music is pure energy – euphorigenic like a wage increase.
