Call for Applications: Reeperbahn Festival New York 2021 (14 - 17 June)

The Big Apple is calling! Reeperbahn Festival International began in New York six years ago. Therefore, it is our special pleasure to launch the call for applications for this year’s event. At the New York event last year, we were able to show that even "under special circumstances", it is possible to create a digital program that is as informative as it is rich in content for all participants. It is with exactly this positive expectation that we invite guests to participate in the upcoming NYC event, which will take place digitally from 14–17 June. The focus this year will be on the area of recorded music.

Once again, Reeperbahn Festival New York will be linked to A2IM Indie Week, which will be held digitally during the same time. In close cooperation with the organizing American Association of Independent Music and supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, participants will gain valuable contacts and exciting insights into the inner workings of the US music- and creative industries. Delegates can expect a wide range of networking events, discussion panels, keynote presentations, digital visits to key local music companies in New York, and a hybrid showcase concert with bands and solo artists from Europe and the USA.

Delegates can also participate in the entire digital Indie Week program, including 1:1 matchmaking sessions with top decision-makers from the US indie industry. The Indie Week discussion-panel program will take place daily from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm local time (5:00 pm – 9:00 pm GMT). Reeperbahn Festival International will also be actively involved in the content of these discussion panels.

European music-industry professionals are cordially invited to apply here by 10 May at the latest to participate as a delegate. We will cover the registration fee ourselves for our 40-member delegation! Artists interested in participating in one of the showcases can apply here.

Small and medium-sized companies are particularly encouraged to participate as delegates, but other industry players are not excluded. The prerequisite for applying is a concrete interest in the music- and creative industry in the US market as well as involvement in an activity in the areas of publishing, labels, distribution, management, marketing/promotion, bookings/live events, or a related digital/creative business field.
