Contest: Art Poster Reeperbahn Festival 2016
Wanted: Your creativity and design talent!
We’re looking for creative design ideas for this year’s art poster. Whether painting, photography, classic design, or illustration – it doesn’t matter. What’s important is your personal interpretation of the Reeperbahn Festival.
Fame and glory
Of course, the best works will be awarded shiny prizes. Not only will the winner be showered with fame and glory, he or she will also receive € 300 and two 2-day passes for the festival – AND the winning poster will hang on the walls of numerous festival venues. The second place winner will receive two 1-day tickets, and the third place winner can look forward to some super-fabulous Reeperbahn Festival merch.
In addition postcards of the three best designs will be printed – total run of 60,000 – and distributed in bars and clubs in Hamburg.
Selection process
After we have received all of your designs we will select a Top 10. What qualifies us as jury, you may wonder - our passion for the festival is probably the only plausible answer. The selection of the winning design will be left to the Facebook community.
Submissions will be accepted until 6 July. We’re excited to see your ideas!
Each participant can send 1–2 designs via email to: kunstplakat@reeperbahnfestival.com. There are no restrictions when it comes to execution or choice of motif. However, you should comply with the following basic requirements:
- Inclusion of “Reeperbahn Festival” or logo (abstract interpretations possible)
- Inclusion of festival dates (21 – 24 September 2016)
- Inclusion of 20–40 events from the Music, Arts, Film, Word, Workshops & More, and Conference programmes (as the programmes will not be final by the submission date, please include placeholders)
- A1, upright format, with a resolution of 300 dpi
- File format: PDF
By submitting a design you consent to our posting it on Facebook for final voting should it be one of the top ten designs. You will be credited by name as author of the design. If you would like us to link to you, please send us your account name.
We look forward to receiving your submissions!
