Keychange Focus Day on 5 November & new prominent supporters

The first German "Keychange Week" takes place from 2-8 November, with a focus on the Keychange Digital Conference on 5 November. In addition the initiative for gender equality in music, which was launched in 2017, will also focus on measures to implement the current goals.

During the "Keychange Week" Digital Conference, some of the programme items will also be available on Facebook. On 5 November, Hadnet Tesfai will talk to Kristina Lunz (Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy), Ela Sayin, Nadin Lefkeli (White Horse Music) and Christin Siegemund (foodlab) about the topic "Women in Leadership".
An exclusive keynote interview with musician Alin Coen provides insights into the structures of the music industry, while in a background discussion hosted by Lena Ingwersen (Project Manager Music Cities Network, Keychange talent), Karin Heisecke exchanges views with Christian Berg (Allbright Foundation), Alexander Schulz (CEO Reeperbahn Festival) and musician Antje Schomaker on the topic Sensibleness of quotas. With the Australian songwriter Tones And I ("Dance Monkey") as well as the multiple Grammy-winning mastering instance Darcy Proper, and Musician Brody Dalle three new keychange ambassadors are also on board.

Reeperbahn Festival has been a leading keychange partner since 2019 and with the "Pledge 2022" encourages festivals, conferences and a growing number of music organizations and institutions to include at least 50% women and underrepresented genders in their programming and staffing by 2022.

The current list of participants includes over 350 organizations from more than 40 countries, including WDR Cosmo (Germany), PRS for Music (UK), Music & Media (Finland), Way Out West (Sweden) and Oslo World (Norway).
Fortunately, more and more people are joining the good idea in the domestic music market as well: In addition to the festivals Melt!, Splash! and Superbloom, which belong to CSR Goodlive GmbH, the renowned concert agency Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion GmbH, the Jung von Matt music agency White Horse Music GmbH, the Hamburg music club Nochtspeicher, the magazine Kaltblut and the agency Raketerei have just signed their participation of the Pledge 2022!
