NEWS IMJA: Shortlist of the International Music Journalism Award

Sustainable artistic development always includes vigilant, critical supervision of artistic creation. That’s why the International Music Journalism Award will be presented for the fifth time at the Reeperbahn Festival in 2021. A jury of experts will honour outstanding individual pieces, but also good continuous journalistic work on popular music and its economic environment, particularly by young music journalists.  

In addition to prizes for works in English and German, prizes will also be awarded for texts in French and for French journalists in cooperation with the CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA MUSIQUE (CNM) as well as prizes for texts in Danish and for Danish journalists in cooperation with STEPPEULVEN.

The categories for the International Music Journalism Award 2021 are:   

  • Best Music Journalist of the Year - Danish / German / English / French   
  • Best music journalistic work of the year
    a) Text (Print & Web) - Danish / German / English / French  
    b) Audio - Danish / German / English / French
    c) Multimedia - German / English  
  • Best Music Journalistic Work under 30 - German  
  • Best Music Business Journalist - International (online voting during Reeperbahn Festival 2021)
