The cooking pot gives the beat

After the success of his much-celebrated Ballett Jeunesse last year, Hamburg-based producer Matthias Arfmann is back at Reeperbahn Festival in 2017 together with the „Turtle Bay Country Club presents Cook ‘n’ Dub“ to serve up yet another premiere. On the menu they have a star-studded meal that’s guaranteed to be an auditory and gustatory delight.

As 2016’s format Cooking con Concert was already a tasty success, this year Arfman in person will be pushing the buttons. Together with the singer Onejiru, and composers Milan East and Peter Imig they constitute the Turtle Bay Country Club and they’ll be joined for this event by chef and author Stevan Paul. While Paul is busy chopping and frying on stage, Arfmann and co. will be mixing live the culinary sounds, adding seasoning and spice, concocting a musical feast, because:

„Music is important in the kitchen, the ears are eating, too.“
(Stevan Paul)

The show’s special guest is funk producer Tony Cook — former drummer for James Brown. Yet another reason to enter the sound-kitchen and let the taste-buds dance to the beat!
