Birgit Reuther, also known as Biggy Pop, is a freelance journalist, copywriter and presenter specialising in pop culture. She writes for the daily newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt and the magazine of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, among others. For NDR, she hosts the radio talk music show Nachtclub Überpop, which explores the relationship between society and pop culture. She also writes biographies, press releases and B2B texts for record companies, artists and institutions. On her Biggy Pop blog, she writes about pop culture from a personal perspective. And she DJs as DJ Biggy Pop on the barge ‘Frau Hedi’ on the Elbe.
