Dr. Birte Jung

Dr. Birte Jung holds a PhD in Landscape Planning (TU Berlin), is a certified Transformation Manager for Sustainable Culture, and an accredited Sustainable Event Management Representative according to ISO 20121. For more than ten years, she has been conducting research and advising on sustainability with a focus on culture and events in public spaces. She initiated the Greener Fête sustainability initiative of the Fête de la Musique Berlin, supports events such as the Fête Berlin in reducing their sustainability impacts, and has guided events like Most Wanted: Music through a successful ISO 20121 certification. In addition, she develops guidelines such as the Guide to Climate-Neutral Events in Berlin, contributed to sustainability labels like the Green Events Seal (Green Events Siegel), and is part of the spokesperson team of the Sustainability Working Group of the Berlin Music Commission.
