Ian Harrison

Ian Harrison is CEO of A2IM (American Association of Independent Music), the nonprofit trade organization that serves as the central voice for independent music in the United States, with over 700 label and associate members. A2IM advocates for the independent sector on Capitol Hill, supports labels through business development and mentorship, and works with international partners to ensure indie labels have a voice in global industry conversations. The independent sector now accounts for over 40% of all U.S. recorded music by ownership. Before joining A2IM, Harrison spent over two decades at Hopeless Records, where he joined the label early in its 30+ year history and helped shape it into one of the most recognized names in alternative music, with over 15 million records sold and artists including All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, and Neck Deep.
