
Johanna Bauhus
Johanna Bauhus (she/her) is a label boss, musician, expert in creating safer spaces - in german also called "awareness concepts"-, product designer, and lobbyist for change processes in the music industry.
She achieved significant media coverage with the project “Cock Am Ring,” through which she promoted greater diversity in festival lineups. She also co-founded “Safe the Dance,” where she works on good practices and standards for awareness concepts and implements them at major events such as the DEICHBRAND Festival. This earned her the Innovation Award at Future of Festivals 2023. Most recently, she developed the largest awareness concept for a sporting event worldwide and successfully implemented it at UEFA Women's EURO 2025 in Switzerland.
With her queer feminist label “Ladies&Ladys” (the world's first officially sexist music label), she has been honored by the German government as a “Culture & Creative Pilot 2022” and is currently nominated for Best Label at the VUT Awards.
She is the bassist for “Wenn einer lügt dann wir” and also writes lyrics from time to time.
