Finegold is the founder of Fine Gold Music; a music licensing and publishing company. He represents many indie labels/artists/publishers including Westbound (Funkadelic), Anderson Paak, DRAM, and Eminem.

His licensing work has been heard in ads for Apple iPhones, Nike, Spotify, Cadillac, and more. Movies & trailer work includes Furious 7, The Big Short, Moneyball, and more. TV shows include: Homeland, Mad Men, Narcos, Westworld, The Chi and many more.

He has served as music supervisor on many indie films & documentaries. His credits include Playroom staring Oscar nominated John Hawkes. He has worked with John Legend’s film/TV production company, where he supered the feature Can You Dig It & HBO’s documentary Southern Rites. Other recent films include the documentary And We Go Green which debuted at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and the 2017 Sundance Sloane Prize winning Marjorie Prime starring Jon Hamm.

He is currently an adjunct instructor in music business at both New York University and Marymount Manhattan College. He previously taught at the Clive Davis Dept. of Recorded Music in NYU’s Tisch School. He has lectured at the Berklee College of Music and New School. He is a Grammy voting member of NARAS for over 20 years and a member of the Guild of Music Supervisors.
