Patrick Clifton
Patrick is strategist and writer with extensive leadership experience in music and technology. He began his career in the UK’s indie music sector, which included spells at labels Jive, Independiente and iconic nightclub The End, where he also DJ’d.
After a break to pursue a master’s degree, he joined Amazon in 2012, where he helped launch and grow their music streaming service, eventually leading the company’s music businesses in the UK.
Patrick left Amazon in 2022 to work in the vinyl records sector. In 2023 he established a strategy consultancy for music and tech. He’s also built an audience on Medium and Substack, where he writes about issues at the intersection of music, tech and culture. A frequent speaker and panelist at conferences and events. Reeperbahn marks his first engagement leading Organisation of Recorded Culture and the Arts, a think tank established by some of the world’s best-known independent music labels.
