Shari Who

Since over ten years, Shari Who has been moving the German music industry – both on stage and behind the scenes.
She moved between labels, brands and agencies with ease – always where the big decisions about music were made. Strategy, marketing, storytelling: She didn’t just learn how the business works. She showed how it could work differently. And when it comes to questions of representation, she’s a voice people want on stage: Shari is regularly invited to speak about anti-discrimination in the music industry.

For the past three years, Shari has fully focused on her own artistic work and has made a significant impact as a DJ and artist under the name Shari Who. Together with two other artists, she co-founded Hayat.Sounds, a platform that creates safer spaces for the diaspora through music and events. Hayat.Sounds amplifies marginalized voices and provides the community with a protected space to express themselves and connect.

All of this is bigger than events. It’s a movement. And Shari Who doesn’t play for the scene – she creates one.
