Global Classical & Jazz Editor / Deezer
Yannick Fage is Deezer’s Global Classical & Jazz Editor. He looks after the curation and strategy for all of the streaming service’s classical and jazz music channels. Through mood-based or specific playlists like calm piano and women of jazz, Yannick also helps new audiences to discover classical and jazz music. He also uses his extensive knowledge of composers, conductors, artists, performers and newcomers to ensure the precise tagging of tracks to continuously improve the Deezer experience for classical and jazz fans.
Yannick also helped launch the special ‘Deezer Originals’ playlist series The Composers that delves into the music and lives of five iconic classical composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
Prior to Deezer, Yannick was the Classical Music Programmer at French HiFi streaming service Qobuz. Besides managing the daily programming of playlists and album selections, he also refined Qobuz’s classical offer.
Yannick started his career working for French national radio station France Musique as a co-producer selecting classical and jazz music to delight audiences across a variety of programs. He also organized live radio shows for respected music events in France including Folle Journée de Nantes and Festival d'Aix en Provence.
Yannick holds a Masters degree in Musicology from Sorbonne University in Paris.
