Andrea Rothaug

Andrea Rothaug works as a lobbyist for transformation processes in the music industry, an artist and business coach, and has been advising pop music support organisations and music professionals since 1998. Since 2002, she has been Managing Director of RockCity Hamburg e.V.; she is a co-founder of BV POP e.V., and the initiator and co-founder of Music Women* Germany + musicHHwomen, Clubkombinat Hamburg e.V., LIVEKOMM, Hanseplatte – Musik von hier, the Music Future Convention OPERATION TON and the POP Office Bremen. As a strategy and project developer, member of the advisory board at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, former Commissioner for Music and Pop Culture in Bremen (2021–2022), curator, mentor (including for the German Cultural Council and the Rudolf Augstein Foundation), owner of the Institute for Professional Reality and author, she is also active as a guest lecturer at various universities and, as a certified Artist & Business Coach, advises on cultural policy and the music industry.
