BALBINA

Balbina, who was born in Warsaw and is now based in Berlin, is best known for her orchestral pop-art sound. The singer-songwriter and producer received the prestigious German Music Authors’ Award in 2018 for her exceptional lyrical writing, which has earned her songs a distinctive place within the German music scene. As a lyricist, she also writes for artists such as Herbert Grönemeyer. To date, Balbina has released four albums and two EPs, and she usually performs her concerts accompanied by the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. She represents the BKM-funded Academy for Popular Music (AfPM) and serves as Creative Director, shaping the content of its affiliated forum, POLYTON.
