Atomic Lobster

Launched in the summer of 2019, Atomic Lobster have consistently let their style be influenced by the warm breezes of a carefree July afternoon. Light-footed yet deeply thoughtful, gentle yet full of rhythmic and melodic twists, songs such as ‘Loneliness’ (2022) and ‘The Garden’ (2023) are reminiscent of songwriting greats such as PJ Harvey and Trixie Whitley – sources of inspiration that Atomic Lobster themselves refer to. In recent years, influences from trip hop and alternative rock have also become increasingly present, with early Portishead and late Sneaker Pimps as creative godfathers. What remains remarkable is how relaxed Atomic Lobster are in developing their sound signature, unimpressed by fast-moving hypes and thus sounding like no other band on their debut album, ‘Claws’ (2024). Nostalgic and contemporary, organic yet harmoniously sophisticated, this music is just as powerful an experience by candlelight with headphones as it is live on stage. We promise.
