DRAMATIST
Not a single song released and already setting the stage on fire at Wacken Open Air? While it may seem virtually impossible, DRAMATIST pulled it off this year without batting an eyelid. The Bremen-based quartet play uncompromising post-hardcore and are made up of seasoned musicians who are no strangers to the scene. Previously known as STUN, all four have played with the big names in the rock and punk scene – and they’ve been doing so for over twenty years. Now, they have a new project with fresh ideas and powerful songwriting, which they have initially poured into their recently released single, ‘Fat White Families’. A wall of three guitars rises up in front of the mantra-like vocals, and rich distortions sweep over crashing percussion: When DRAMATIST get going, the air is more flammable than in an oxygen tank. As a preview of their upcoming debut album, ‘Wasting Words’ (2026), which was produced by none other than Kurt Ebelhäuser (Blackmail, Pascow), they will be paying us a visit in September. So, if you need a new hairstyle, be sure to stop by.
